Cole Brauer

Cole Brauer, born on May 24, 1994, in New York, USA, is an accomplished American sailor. She made history by becoming the first woman from the United States to sail single-handed around the world nonstop and unassisted. Brauer grew up on Long Island, New York, attended East Hampton High School, and later studied nutritional science at the University of Hawaii. Despite initially planning to become a doctor, she discovered her passion for sailing in college. In 2023, she won both legs of the Bermuda One-Two race and finished second in the 2023–2024 Global Solo Challenge, setting a new around-the-world speed record for her class.
