Francesca Amewudah Rivers is a British television and stage actress, musician, and composer. Born in 1998 in Brighton, England, she made her West End debut in 2024 as Juliet in “Romeo and Juliet,” opposite Tom Holland. She trained at the National Youth Theatre and studied Music at Oxford University. Francesca has also composed music for short films and received the 2021 Evening Standard Future Theatre Award for Audio Design. Her casting in “Romeo and Juliet” sparked a backlash, with over 800 black actors signing an open letter in solidarity with her. She resides in Brixton.
