John Legend

John Legend, born John Roger Stephens on December 28, 1978, is an American singer, songwriter, pianist, record producer, and actor. He gained recognition by playing piano on Lauryn Hill’s “Everything Is Everything” and as an uncredited backing vocalist on Jay-Z’s “Encore” and Alicia Keys’ “You Don’t Know My Name.” Legend’s debut studio album, Get Lifted (2004), produced the hit song “Ordinary People.” He has won 12 Grammy Awards and achieved commercial success with songs like “All of Me.” Legend is also known for being a coach on the television series The Voice since 2019.
