Renauld White

Renauld White, a groundbreaking Black model and soap actor, was born on April 12, 1944, and passed away at the age of 80 on June 26, 2024. He grew up in Newark, New Jersey, and made history as the second Black model to be on the cover of GQ in 1979. White’s modeling career lasted for many years, and he worked with famous designers like Ralph Lauren, Calvin Klein, and Yves Saint Laurent. He also pushed for more diversity in the fashion industry. As an actor, he played William Reynolds on the soap opera Guiding Light. He will be remembered as a trailblazer and a good friend.
